Digital Media Wire: RightsFlow Launches Outsourced Music Licensing Solutions
NEW YORK, May 2, 2008 –- RightsFlow, LLC, a private New York-based company, announced the launch of its outsourced music publishing licensing and royalty systems for record labels, distributors, online music retailers, and others engaged in distribution and sale of recorded music.
The company, whose clients include major label EMI, provides an end-to-end solution for publishing licensing, including copyright owner research, obtaining and administering publishing licenses, royalty calculation, and accounting to publishers. The service is available in both the US and European markets and licensing practices.
The company also announced the hire of Jacob Goldstein, former Chief Technology & Information Officer for Havas’ North American Diversified Agencies Group, who will fulfill the roles of Chief Information & Financial Officer.
RightsFlow was founded by Patrick Sullivan, former VP of Licensing and Music Services for The Orchard & eMusic and Director of Research and Development at the National Music Publisher’s Association/Harry Fox Agency (HFA), and Ben Cockerham, former Director of Global Operations for the Music Services division of The Orchard.
