Digital Music News: "RightsFlow Got Dealflow: Mint Records Latest"

Posted in News | 23 September 2008 | 0 Comments

Santa Monica, CA, Sept. 23, 2008 –RightsFlow has now landed a licensing backend deal with Canadian independent Mint Records, the latest in a string of announcements for the New York-based firm. RightsFlow will provide Mint with infrastructure for both mechanical and DPD (digital phonorecord delivery) licensing for downloads, according to details shared this week. Specifically, RightsFlow is being utilized to handle payments to publishers within the United States, from sales through the iTunes Store, eMusic, AmazonMP3, and other download destinations.

Earlier this month, RightsFlow signed a similar arrangement with San Francisco-based IODA, a digital aggregator, distributor, and marketer of independent content. Like Mint, the IODA relationship revolves around mechanical and DPD needs. RightsFlow, with taps directly into a bulk digital music licensing system created by the Harry Fox Agency, also inked a similar deal with CD Baby (now owned by Disc Makers) in late August.
