DCIA P2P & Video Conference @ Digital Hollywood Forum (Oct. 27): Patrick Sullivan Guest Speaker
Santa Monica, CA, Sept. 25, 2008 – The DCIA P2P & Video Conference, to be held within Digital Hollywood Fall, features Patrick Sullivan as a guest speaker on Monday, October 27th as part of the “Private and Public Approaches – P2P Distribution for Video Rights Holders or Rewards for Copyright Enforcers” panel.
The panel topic will encompass the following questions focused on P2P content licensing: “What are the various content licensing and market exploitation strategies that have been tried to date with respect to P2P distribution? How and why is collective licensing gaining traction in some geographic regions and should this be applied globally? What should the roles and responsibilities be for P2P companies, ISPs, CDNs, and other parties in an optimal but practical P2P music licensing regime?”
In addition to Mr. Sullivan, panelists include Steven Masur (Manager Partner, MasurLaw), Patrick Ross (Executive Director, Copyright Alliance), Laura Tunberg (CEO, EM Syndication), Jeff Ulin (Of Counsel, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati).
