9th annual Stevie® Awards will be presented on June 20 in New York City

NEW YORK, NY – May 16, 2011 – Limelight (www.songclearance.com), a service of RightsFlow, was named a Finalist in the Best New Product or Service category of The 2011 American Business Awards.

More than 2,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year. RightsFlow’s Limelight service is nominated in the New Product or Service of the Year category for Media & Entertainment.

Limelight provides artists, labels, church choirs and college bands worldwide with a simple, easy method to licensing cover songs for release in the U.S.  Since launching in March 2010, Limelight has been adopted by musicians in all 50 states and in 96 countries to secure mechanical licenses for their U.S. releases.  It allows users to easily obtain licenses for physical releases, digital downloads, ringtones and interactive streaming, reducing the complexity of licensing with publishers directly.  Limelight also offers several key features including licenses that don’t expire, pricing discounts on bulk orders, and coverage of the broader publishing market not represented by mechanical rights societies.

“We’re excited to see Limelight recognized amongst a great group of finalists for the American Business Awards,” said Alex Holz, VP of Artist Relations for RightsFlow. “This recognition underscores our commitment to providing a much-needed service for musicians worldwide.”

Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.  Stevie Award winners will be selected from among the Finalists in each category next week by members of 10 specialized final judging committees.  More than 150 executives will have participated in judging this year.   People can vote at http://peopleschoice.stevieawards.com for Limelight and their favorite new products in 16 categories in the 2011 People’s Choice Stevie Awards for Favorite New Products.  Voting closes on June 4th.
