Matt Irvin Vice President of Business Innovations

Matt Irvin brings an international depth and knowledge to the team at RightsFlow. Working as Vice President of Business Innovations, Mr. Irvin is responsible for client services and innovations, including new product development.

As the first employee to join RightsFlow, Matt has led a key role in the development of the RightsFlow systems and processes as well as the management of both the licensing and royalty departments. He has a vast knowledge of the technical aspects associated with the architecture of licensing and royalty systems as well as the complexities of mechanical rate calculations and reporting practices worldwide. Previously serving as Vice-President of Technology, Mr Irvin is extremely well versed in the systematic specifications of music licensing systems. He is a certified bulk data integration technologist, with extensive experience in the redesign and migration of legacy licensing and royalty systems.

Matt’s direct experience as an account manager for RightsFlow’s larger music service clients, has provided him with an in-depth knowledge of licensing needs and issues that face music services in the current market climate. In addition, with a detailed knowledge of international society reporting practices, Matt is a key figure in the development and management of RightsFlow’s Global Reporting Services.

Mr Irvin has a deep experience within a number of fields in the music industry. He owns an artist friendly independent Australian record label, Canopy Records and he has toured numerous times around Australia and Canada both as an artist and band manager. Mr. Irvin also served in the Film and TV Licensing Department of Orchard Music Services until June 07 and holds a Psychology Degree from the University of Western Australia. He is also a regularly performing artist in New York City.
