Alex Holz Product Specialist
Alex Holz provides a diverse music industry background to RightsFlow’s clients as Vice-President of Artist and Community Relations, adding to the company’s expertise in music licensing, catalogue development, and marketing through extensive experience in the recorded music, publishing, and live industry sectors.
Before joining RightsFlow, Mr. Holz held a position at the Orchard Enterprises, Inc (NasdaqGM: ORCD) as Licensing Director, where he helped implement Orchard Music Services, the company’s value-added service platform for labels. Prior work included A&R and marketing with Dimension Music and Speakeasy Records.
During his tenure at Dimension Music, he ran the artist discovery area as an editor and scout for the online venture, leading then up-and-coming acts such as Midtown, Lanemeyer, and The Ataris among others toward early MP3 adoption before the company’s acquisition by former Disney executive Michael Ovitz.
Mr. Holz’s background also includes experience in the live sector. While working for ArtsQuest (formerly known as Bethlehem Musikfest Association), Mr. Holz assisted the Director of Performing Arts in producing and marketing the annual ten-day Musikfest event, which drew 1 million-plus visitors and featured artists such as Fuel, The Neville Brothers, Yolanda Adams, Roger McGuinn of The Byrds, and Live.
Mr. Holz holds a Master’s Degree in Music Business from New York University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa honors from Lehigh University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. When inspiration arises, he channels it as a songwriter and singer/guitarist of rock band That Fleeting World.
